I thank each of you for your support of my candidacy in Burlington, your support for the Liberal Party of Canada and for our Leader Stéphane Dion on October 14th. Ours was a campaign filled with many great memories and experiences: remarkable volunteers, wonderful events and fabulous weather!

I thank all who volunteered. It was an honour to work with you. I deeply appreciated your many hours of hard work. For many of you, it was a chance to work with old friends who have given so much time and energy over my last six election campaigns. Words cannot express how much your support has meant to me over the years. To the many new volunteers who worked in this campaign, thank you for joining our team. Your commitment energized us. In Burlington, we had a fabulous eager team of all ages, working together for a fairer, richer and greener Canada and representation in the House of Commons we could all be proud of. We worked to Get Our Voice Back.

Over the course of this campaign, Liberals across Canada presented an action plan for Canada's future endorsed by big city mayors, by students, by environmentalists, businesspeople, and so many others. We can all take great pride in the unparalleled number of women candidates who ran under the Liberal banner this year. Our participation and dedication to campaigns in Burlington and across the country advanced the discussion on important issues: jobs, poverty reduction, environmental action, chid care, support for seniors, and improving Canada's position in the world.

We must look forward to the future of the Liberal Party of Canada. The Burlington Federal Liberal Association works very hard in between elections and they need your support.
